Gerardo Hernandez, better known as Jerry, is a licensed realtor and real estate broker who is a full time worker in the real estate industry. Having been licensed for 15 years, he has closed over 100 deals and is continuing to strive to work to do more. His story begins at the age of three when he came to the United States!

“I’m an immigrant who came to the US at the age of 3 years old. I grew up in East Los Angeles/Boyle Heights. At the age of 18 years old, entered the world of Sales by starting in the Car business. I am bilingual in both English and Spanish. I can relate to anyone from any nationality. I am also a people person enjoys talking to people. I’m the oldest of 3 brothers Mother still alive and my father is deceased. I am active in Recovery (abstinent from Alcohol and Drugs sober for 12 years).Have one daughter 3 years old named Leilah,” Jerry recounts.

Jerry has had many factors test his ability to be successful. Like many in the real estate business, the 2008 financial crisis was particularly difficult for him and his business. However, it is that moment that inspired him to become a full time realtor. He saw a true need for his talents and went in feet first to make it happen.

“In 2008, my mortgage company went out of business during the Great Recession and decided to go Full time as an agent. I decided this was the best route for me due to my interest in being self-employed and being able to work my own hours,” Jerry explains.

What makes Jerry different from others is that, in the real estate world, he is always fighting for his customers and their wellbeing. Whether he is working with buyers or sellers, they are always his first concern and his first thought. This helps set him apart from the crowd in the real estate world.

“My biggest asset to my clients is that I work hard to meet their goals and don’t get discouraged often. When helping sellers, I take the time to help them clean up property, take the necessary steps for home to look good for professional pictures and always communicate daily. When helping buyers, I actively look at new inventory and when making offers I’m aggressive  to push offers to get accepted,” Jerry states.

Even more so than his customers, he is also doing this for his young daughter who has just turned 3!

“I have a 3-year-old daughter that depends on me and I cannot allow her to be without her dad. Growing up in East L.A./Boyle Heights I saw many people die of addiction to both alcohol and drugs. My secondary fear is not being able to provide for my daughter and leaving her with no inheritance,” Jerry says.

With so much more to do in the new year, Jerry is excited to see what 2022 holds for him. To keep up with everything he is doing, follow him on instagram here and check out his website here.
